Eastern Exit route to be listed among high-priority investment projects
The Republic of Bashkortostan is planning to list a toll road connecting Ufa with the M-5 Ural federal highway (Eastern Exit) among high-priority investment projects. The project is implemented by VTB Infrastructure Holding. The concessionaire will therefore be eligible for profit tax breaks, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Government Andrei Nazarov said during his visit to the construction site together with VTB Senior Vice President Yury Molchanov.

Qatar Airways, Northern Capital Gateway agree to develop tourism and business
Qatar Airways CEO, H.E. Akbar Al Baker, and Leonid Sergeyev, CEO of Northern Capital Gateway (a company of VTB Infrastructure Holding), signed a memorandum of intent at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2021). The memorandum focuses on developing tourism between St Petersburg and Doha, growing business related to passenger air operations, and strengthening cooperation in the context of developing and improving the destination network of Pulkovo Airport.

Ufa Eastern Exit road construction agreement signed at SPIEF
Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board Andrey Kostin and VEB.RF Chairman Igor Shuvalov have announced the signing of a direct agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, on the one hand, and project creditors VTB and VEB.RF, on the other hand, to build the Eastern Exit road linking the city of Ufa to the M5 Ural federal motorway.

VTB Group signs memorandum of intent on St Petersburg healthcare system development
On 3 June 2021, VTB Infrastructure Holding (VTB Group) and the St Petersburg Government signed an agreement on the development of the city’s healthcare system during the St Petersburg International Economic Forum. The agreement, which specifically provides for building an infectious diseases hospital, was signed by President and Chairman of VTB Bank Management Board Andrey Kostin and St Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov.

VTB signs agreement of intent to modernise fishing terminal at Magadan seaport
On 3 June 2021, VTB Infrastructure Holding signed an agreement of intent as part of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum to overhaul and modernise the hydraulic facilities of a fish terminal at the Magadan seaport, as well as to develop its production, engineering and transport infrastructure to provide comprehensive services for ships, to organise port services, to process water biological resources, to develop coastal fishing and also to create new logistics chains in the post-pandemic period.
